SQL Database Connectivity

The successful deployment of SQL Database has enabled many clients to have multiple users edit one contiguous file.  The Data Connect dialog box to attach any non-DWG data source: database formats, such as SQL Servers; raster files; or spatial data files, such as SDF and SHP.  Files can be dragged and dropped into a map is listed in the Data Connect dialog box.   Once the data is stored in SQL each user can request layers or specific information to be added to their map layers.  The user can then “Check-Out” the features for editing and “Check-In” once edit completed.

Property & Street Information

Ownership data is typically displayed from either MPAC or clients TAX systems and is accomplished through direct connection or data views.  Marmak has created a number of standalone application which import MPAC data into predefined tables with in the various solutions.  Equally as important to the MPAC data is an accurate and up to date street file index.

Tax System Integration

Marmak has integrated into a number of different Tax systems including, Vadim, Great Plains, and Navision.  Links to critical and related information are achieved through pre built dataview which enable the users to generate wild card search.   The return search results will allow the users to populate the related fields such as  “Roll Number”, “Mailing Address”, “Legal Text”.   This process empowers users to have a live search results while eliminating unnecessary data maintenance and reducing costs.

MIDS Integration

FieldCrew infrastructure asset location module is built on either the MIDS II (municipal infrastructure data model) and MIDS III data model.  The MIDS II web forms connect to a Microsoft SQL database and come complete with input entry forms, dynamic queries, and individual location forms.  These web based forms empower the user to input, edit and update information associated to any infrastructure data table.  Additional functionality includes the “AD-Hoc Query Builder” enabling the user to query data.  The web based forms are interactive with the graphical interface enabling the user to edit data from either the tabular forms or the graphical interface.

Marmak has since 1990  participated in numerous Successful data conversion projects, including scanning and drafting of utility mapping, digitizing of parcel and zoning maps, and the creation of utility maps. The single most important aspect of a successful project deployment is the quality of the data on which the information system is based.  For this reason, existing automated databases and paper-based data are carefully analyzed.  This includes all stored and referenced data including digital and paper maps, documents, photos, and databases .

To insure that all the data is captured and complete this is accomplished, by creating an inventory of all available data including a combination of aerial photography, sewer maps, plan & profiles, paper and digital databases.  The Creation of several different types of symbols indicate origin of data, year of construction and accuracy.  This process identifies discrepancies between any database information which may exists and “as built” accuracy between new digital cad files and old paper drawings.

 Infrastructure Data

Infrastructure data is digitized based on tolerance and hierarchy structure.  The creation of several different types of symbols indicate origin of data, year of construction and accuracy.  This process identifies discrepancies between any database information which may exists and “as built” accuracy between new digital cad files and old paper drawings.

Parcel Data

Parcel data graphical data consists of topological polygon structured data in both a SHP or .DWG format with unique identification. Every property has a unique pin number blocks digitized.  Properties with multiple roll numbers are identified and resolved in the data model. Mismatched errors are identified and itemized for resolution.

Quality Control

Client log on to our provided interface and access data set on our web server. Client staff has immediate access to the digitized data set and necessary tools to validate the digitizing throughout the project.
